About the Frozen Dessert Institute

The Frozen Dessert Institute has been running monthly courses to assist attendees in opening and running frozen dessert stores for 6 years. The courses initially commenced and ran monthly in Michigan; in October 2005 FDI was moved to its current facility at the St Louis Community College, Forest Park Campus. Situated in the Culinary Arts wing, the facility is designed for and used to train culinary and hospitality practices to hundreds of students.

Over the years the FDI has trained over 500 people and has helped in the establishment of hundreds of frozen dessert stores, both in the US and around the world. The FDI has been attended by students from all over the US and from as far away as Australia, Korea and South Africa.

Staff from the FDI continues to support their students with advice and training techniques designed for store monitoring and growth.
